This place is a place we drive across town to eat. The margaritas are good. The queso is yum. The owners are friendly and totally make you feel like you are family there. The food is delicious. They will accommodate most every food order. And if there is any concern, they address it completely and fix it. I love the wait staff here. So many good people have been met here. And the locals that are here frequently are friendly and personable. I think this is locally our favorite Toledo restaurant.
An overall good restaurant. My server wasn't the best but the service there was great because other people working there saw that I was just sitting there and took care of it. Food was good. the first salsa I got was good, but then the second was kind of tomato-y.
Came in with my partner around 1 for lunch. Seated ourselves, ordered a water and a virgin pomegranate daiquiri(which came out delicious despite not being an actual menu item). We ordered Nachos Mexicanos, molcojete, and flan. My partner is from California and was almost in tears at how much the food tasted like home. I absolutely melted with every bite. If I could give 10 stars I would. Everything from the decor to the architecture spoke California to me. Very refreshing especially in winter.

From the conversations I could hear, it seemed like everybody eating there knew each other. Always a good sign. Highly recommend.
The very best Mexican food I have had in many years. I have been to many restaurants in many, over 30, states. The search for real, simple street tacos has taken me to locations far and widely diverse. You would think it would be easy, but it is evidently not. LaChalupa gets it right. Also, their guacamole was very fresh and the hot sauce was actually hot.
We eat here at least once week. Food is really good and isn't overpriced. 1.50 Tacos on Tuesday is a must. They have daily drink specials and food specials Mon-Thu. My wife and I have tried many different items on the menu and have never been disappointed.
